Fremont Lake is about 3 miles from Pinedale, Wyoming. It offers easy access to activities and events, as well as, fishing, boating, sailing and wildlife. It is the 7th deepest lake in the country. It is a naturally formed glacier lake. It offers a Sandy Beach (no dogs allowed) for some amazing family photo opportunities. It also has Forrest all around the lake which presents itself with beautiful color in the fall. Lakeside Restaurant is right on the lake and is a great way to dine in a relaxing atmosphere. Amazing views with outdoor eating and open year round. This is my most favorite place to shoot because of the diversity for photos. We have a lake, trees and open sagebrush. Plus the Lakeside Restaurant is always kind enough to let me take photos around their building, inside and out.
A quiet, scenic mountain lake close to Pinedale, Wyoming. It hides in a forested mountain pocket. In winter there is ice fishing with an intimate and scenic setting. The rest of the year has fishing, water skiing, canoeing, inner tubing and camping and hiking. Fall is full of color and a peaceful place for fall photos of any genre.
The original CCC Ponds were developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during The Great Depression in an effort by Franklin D. Roosevelt to create jobs in the 1930s. The work consisted of reforestation, road and park construction, flood control and beautification projects. A walking path was added to enable public access. Fishing, walking and bird watching are part of the attraction. True Pinedale beauty for photography!
Of course, we can also shoot right downtown of our little mountain town.
There are so many places where I live! But wherever you decide to have your session, the family connection and the lighting will play the biggest role to capture natural, authentic and beautiful photos.
So if you are ever in my neck of the woods, I would love to give you a tour of my little town in Wyoming.
