Baby, it's cold outside! What’s better than a cozy meal indoors with family and friends? Set the table with style for a winter get together.
Some of those winter Christmas decorations can stay unpacked for just a little while longer. Just because Christmas 2020 is in the books, doesn't mean you have to pack up all your decorations for the season. We can do some DIY winter decor that will add touches to your home until the warmer weather arrives. For Wyoming, that could mean June. Create a cozy living room, bring some color into the kitchen while you cook up some soup or hot chocolate or even add some great touches to the bedroom for a snug, restful nights sleep.
Here are some crafts and projects to get the creative ideas flowing. Most photos have a link and you can click on them for more information about them or information on how to make something.
Highlight the Fireplace
Decorate a fireplace mantel, but also highlight around the area. Make a wood stove feel so inviting that you just want to snuggle up near it with a good book and never leave. Who needs to get housework done anyway.
Winter Centerpiece
Making a winter centerpiece for a dining table or coffee table will add just the right touch for winter decorating.
Front Door, Porch and Entry Way
I love a great place to welcome guests! Don’t you?
Small Craft Ideas for Winter
Using old sweater, twine or ribbon, along with glass vases or jars is a great way to spruce up your home. Think about bringing the outdoors in with branches and twigs from trees and bushes. Use pillows and throws on the couch, chair or bed to add some cozy touches and say welcome to our home.
So while you are taking down your Christmas decor, think about whether it can stay unpacked for another month or so. Can it be included in your winter decorating and make your home just a little bit cozier for a little bit longer.
